Pretty, Pretty, Princess

Yes, this is Riley's Halloween costume for this year, isn't it TOO cute? I just love her in it. She got to wear it Friday night to a little fall festival we went to.

We gave Riley yogurt for the 1st time the other day; not only did she think that it tasted good she thought it was a lot of fun to stick her hands in it, VERY messy!!

This morning Riley was having breakfast and I thought I should take a picture of her eating her new favorite food - toast with butter. As you can see in the first picture she just made a little smirk at me. Then I told her to say "cheese" and I was smiling at her; well, she gave me a big smile and held it for the picture as you can see in the second picture. It was just too cute, it was like she new exactly what I was saying.

Riley has been fascinated with her baby doll's eyes the past few days. She likes to look at them and then poke at them - funny girl!

9 Month Check Up

Riley went to the doctor on Monday for her 9 month check up...I did not think she was going to have any shots, but I was wrong. They had to poke her big toe to check her iron level which was fine and she got the flu vaccine. She did a good job with it! She is doing just fine and now she can eat almost anything, so we are having fun trying new foods. One thing we have learned is that she is very independent these days, especially with what she eats. She does not want to be fed and she only wants to eat what she wants to eat; lately that has been toast, cheese, bananas, and some meat sticks. We tried mac and cheese, but she is not too sure of that yet - I thought for sure she would just love it. Her new thing now is dancing, whenever she hears music she starts bouncing. It is too cute!! After her doctor's appt on Monday we went out to lunch and they play music at the place we went (Zipp's) and she had a blast!

Another Day at the Office

Sunday afternoon we went to Matt's office with him to try and organize a bit. Riley found many things to do to keep herself busy...

Silly Girl

This morning Riley was walking around the coffee table and she stepped into Matt's shoes. She had both feet in, but right when I took the picture she pulled one foot out.

Happy Birthday Rayna!

Riley's friend Rayna turned 1 last weekend and we were there to celebrate. Rayna and Ross (her brother) really enjoyed the chocolate cake - Riley did not get any; she's not quite ready for chocolate.

Sunday Afternoon

What could be better on a Sunday afternoon than enjoying a cookie while relaxing?

Another week has come and gone. This week Riley has started standing and letting go of whatever she is holding on to; it seems as though her balance is getting better by the day. It is a little scary because we know what the next big step is. She is doing great!!
