A Day of Thanks!

Today Riley celebrated her 1st Thanksgiving and we definitely have a reason to be thankful. As you may know from the previous post Riley has not had a very good week...well, I think she is starting to do better FINALLY!! We made a trip back to the doctor yesterday because she still was not keeping things down, she threw up yesterday morning, and she was just not herself. The doctor said her ears were looking great so we should just stop the antibiotic since that is probably what is causing the other problems. This morning when she got up she did not seem to be much better, but as the day progressed so did she. By this afternoon she was smiling, laughing, and playing more like her normal self. The great mood faded rather quickly, but it was nice to see her so happy again. We are just hoping that tomorrow will be even better. While at my family's house Riley found a Christmas bow so we decided to decorate her:
She also got to meet her Great-Uncle Gordon from California for the first time! (I know this is not the best picture since she is trying to escape, but it was the best we could get - it was getting close to bedtime.)

Poor Girl...

We have a sick little girl and it is very sad. It started a bit on Thursday and it has gone down hill since then. She is having a bit of a tummy issue - although no throwing up ( I think you can figure it out) and that caused her to have a TERRIBLE diaper rash. I did not realize it could get that bad. We got a prescription yesterday for it and it is helping greatly; we can now change her diaper without her crying. This morning she was still have tummy issues, no energy, felt a little warm and was just not herself so we made a trip to the doctor. Well, she has an ear infection in the right ear and a possible infection in the left. That came as a surprise because she has not seemed to be bothered by her ears. So the doctor said that is probably what is causing the other problem. We got an antibiotic and hopefully she is on her way to feeling better. It is so sad.

Bath Time Fun

Riley really enjoys bath time...she loves to splash and play with her toys. A couple of times she has tried to drink the bath water and put her face into the water a little too much, needless to say she did not like that too much. Well, one night Matt and I thought we would have a little fun with her hair during bath time.

Who Needs Pajamas?

On Monday I put Riley down for her morning nap and when I went to get her this is what I found-

I am guessing she thought it would be more comfortable without her shirt on.

So Cute...

Christy took some WONDERFUL pictures for us a couple of weeks ago to capture Riley at 9 months and to get a good picture in her Halloween costume.

Enjoying dinner with dad!

Hanging out with cousin Shannon before heading out to trick-or-treat!

Riley's 1st time trick-or-treating!

Hanging out with Nicole and Ashley before they go trick-or-treating; it was too late for Riley, she was getting ready for bed.

Before a Bath

The other night while I was filling up the tub for Riley's bath Matt put her in the sink to play with the water and she had so much fun!!
