6 Month Check Up

We took Keegan to the doctor today for his 6 month check up and as you can see he really, really wanted to eat the paper. He is doing all the right things, but we need to work on the sitting thing more...he just folds in half. He is still on the very tiny side so we need to plump him up a bit. We went to the gastroenternologist about a month ago and she thinks he has a protein allergy so we switched to a hypoallergenic formula, Neocate. He is now much happier when eating, but only eats on the low side of normal each day. We were able to get our appointment moved to this Thursday to follow up with the gastroenternologist with the hopes that we can start him on foods and we pray that will help him put the weight on. Other than that he is doing good. He can roll like crazy and really enjoys playing/eating his toys. He enjoys bath time, although now it is a bit more challenging for me...it is hard to wash his arms and legs and get them rinsed before he puts them in his mouth. His big news from the last week is that his bottom 2 teeth have broken through. (We were not expecting teeth so soon, Riley did not get her first tooth until she was 11 months old.)

Off to the Park

With the nice weather we have been having lately we have been going to the park a lot and it is so much fun!! Here are the kids ready to go in the stroller...that is how I get my exercise, it is a lot of work pushing that stoller uphill. We take the long route to the park.

The Zoo

We have been having such good weather lately so we have been going to the zoo weekly. It has been so much fun. Riley is really into all the animals now, Keegan does not care too much, but he enjoys the ride. Riley always wants to see more monkeys, but if you ask her what her favorite animal is she NEVER answers a monkey. Too funny!!
