Breakfast with Santa
Our church did breakfast with Santa last weekend...if you look at the first picture you can see how that went. Riley was excited and happy to see Santa until it was her turn to sit on his lap. We had talked about it hoping she would be okay with it, but there is always next year. Although if you ask her what Santa says she will say "Ho, Ho!" and if you ask her what Santa is going to bring her she will tell you pink polish for her toes, it is very cute.

This is not going well at all, but Keegan seemed quite content.

At least the screaming stopped!

Happy it is over and happy about the candy cane Santa gave her. At this point if you ask her if she had fun with Santa her response is "Yes!" (It does not seem as though she had fun, but if she thinks she did that is great.)

Riley and Ella
Here is Riley and her friend Ella, it is very difficult to get two little girls that are almost 2 to look at the camera at the same time and smile; I guess I should say it is impossible. It is okay, they are so cute together. Ella is our friends Jeff and Jodie's little girl, she is 5 days younger than Riley. They also have a little boy who is about 2 1/2 weeks older than Keegan - we could not have planned this if we tried, but it is great having friends with kids the same age.
Keegan's Baptism
We had Keegan's baptism last weekend and it was great. Matt's grandpa performed the baptism which made it even more special. We decided to go a little non-traditional for the outfit, but I thought he looked super handsome!! Keegan surprised me and did not cry one bit, and yes, he was awake the entire time.

My cute little man in his VERY cute outfit (a funny face, but you take what you can get).

This is us and Keegan's godparents, Jeff and Jodie.

A special moment.

We enjoyed a nice lunch afterwards, with dessert of course.

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas
We also did our inside Christmas decorating and I am so happy! I love Christmas and I love having the tree and decorations up. This year we had to get a little creative because we do not have a fireplace or any type of ledge to hang our stockings, but we got it figured out.

Riley had fun telling us where to put the ornaments.

Christmas Lights
Last weekend we started getting ready for Christmas! Matt worked hard on Friday getting our Christmas lights put up on the house and they look great!

Here he is hard at work!

Keegan slept in the front carrier on me and we watched Matt work.

Once up from her nap Riley had fun outside while Matt put up lights - she liked sitting on the bottom of the ladder. (Now when you ask her to smile you never know what kind of face you will get...so exciting.)

So pretty!!

Going Out...
Smiles
It is so hard to get pictures of Keegan smiling, but I managed to get a few to share. It is so fun now that he is smiling! Keegan had his 2 month check up last week and he is doing just fine. He is up to 9lbs 15oz and 21.5 inches long - he is a little peanut, but is growing along his curve like he should. He had a little cold for the last 2 weeks, but is now doing much better. It was very sad, the poor little guy could hardly breathe with all the head congestion.

Daddy's New Toy
Halloween
I am finally able to sit down and add the costume Halloween pictures...only 2 weeks late. Riley was a little pirate and Keegan has a little bear onesie that says "I am Beary Scary". We did not really do much trick-or-treating, but Riley enjoyed the night. I think she had the most fun handing out candy with her Aunt Haleigh; especially since we are still talking about it now. Next year will be even more fun!!

Carving a Pumpkin
Halloween seemed to sneak up on us a bit this year, but we did manage to find a pumpkin Halloween morning and carve it with Riley that afternoon - Keegan was not too interested. Riley thought it was interesting for a bit, but thought the insides were "yucky"!

Even though it was "yucky" Riley did her "share" of cleaning out the insides.

Riley thought it was much more fun to be cutting the pumpkin.

"What am I doing?" (she seemed puzzled to be pulling out part of the pumpkin)

Riley and dad with their masterpiece - we thought we should keep it simple this year!

Family Update
We took Keegan to the doctor for his one month check up last Tuesday and he is up to 8lbs 10.5oz! He has been having some problems though, he screams crying just about every time after he eats; at first I thought it was gas related, but then started thinking there must be more to it. He also has a bit of reflux, so the doctor prescribed Zantac twice a day to see if that would help. It seems that yesterday he finally turned the corner a bit. He has been much more comfortable after eating, although now he seems to be spitting up more!?! Other than that he is just great; well, of course it would be better if he would sleep longer than 3 hours at a time at night but that will come with time I suppose. He is now starting to make some cooing noises and they are so cute. He is also turning into a little bald guy, the hair on the top of his head is receding, but the sides and back are staying put for now.
While we were at the doctors office Riley got her flu shot and the H1N1 vaccine. She did cry a bit (the 2nd shot puts her over the edge, 1 she can handle without a peep), but it was short lived. We came home at had a "pop" (popsicle) for being so good! She is still just so much fun and so funny! Her vocabulary continues to grow and she is putting more and more words together, I imagine one day we will wake up and she will be speaking in sentences.
Over the last week Matt and I have had our fair share of shots also. We both got the flu shot for the first time. It was recommended since we have a child under 6 months and he is not able to get any vaccines. Then Saturday we stood in line at Wal-Mart for 3.5 hours to get the H1N1 vaccine. Yes, 3.5 hours, it was crazy, but if it is what is best for Keegan it is worth it. We were supposed to go with friends to a pumpkin patch, but instead all of us got shots - not quite the same, but a good deed done.

Dirty Bailey
While Bailey was outside the other morning she decided that she was going to dig in the dirt and get her face all dirty. Needless to say I was not letting her in until I could clean her face, so Riley sat at the door looking at Bailey until I finally let her in. So sweet of Riley to keep Bailey company.
