Look At What I Can Do
Now that Riley has learned to pull herself up to standing that is all she does all day long. She is a VERY busy girl.
Sick Baby
Well, it finally happened...Riley got sick and it was just heartbreaking. Last Wednesday night after we put her to bed she kept waking up coughing and crying then she would go back to sleep. When she got up Thursday morning she just looked miserable with red eyes that she could barely keep open, no energy, a terrible cough, and a stuffy/running nose. So, I took her to the doctor and she has croup. Thursday was rough, but each day after is getting better. She is handling it like a champ!

Our Trip to Reno
Last week we went to Reno, NV to visit Aunt Shannon and John for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. Our trip started off a with a 2 1/2 hour delay at the airport, stormy weather in Phoenix, but Riley was wonderful. She finally fell asleep at the airport around 9:30pm (our flight was supposed to leave at 8:20pm) and slept until we landed in Reno. The first day there we drove to Lake Tahoe, which is so beautiful. We had lunch at a neat little restaurant that sits right on along the water and then just walked around a bit. The next couple of days we did not do too much...Matt golfed with John and the girls just hung out. Riley really started perfecting her pulling up to standing skills and just wanted to go, go, go. Overall our trip was wonderful!!

Riley Update
Wow, it is so hard to keep up with all that Riley is learning these days. She has started waving side to side now (before she waved by moving her whole arm up and down). A couple of times yesterday and today she has started to bend her fingers to wave also, it is so amazing to see the changes and the things she learns. She can now crawl on her hand and knees, and actually move all of them together. She is really wanting to stand...she has actually pulled herself up a couple of times, but she is not too sturdy yet. She is hard to keep up with. Of course like most children she is now wanting everything she is not supposed to have: the remote controls, phones, dog toys, and she loves to go after the dogs. There is just always something new!!
Fruit of the day - Prunes
Yes, that is prunes all over Riley's face!! Prunes are the newest fruit she has tried and she actually liked them.Jenn's Birthday!
Friday was my birthday so to celebrate we had date night and went to the Diamondback's game; it just so happened they were playing the Atlanta Braves so that was lots of fun. Matt and Riley got me some beautiful new earrings - I just love them!

We had a great weekend and have just really being enjoying time with Riley. She is learning something new all the time.

Vincent Jude LaMotta
Congratulations Sarah and Vin!!
Sara and Vin welcomed a very handsome baby boy on July 25, 2008 at 11:41pm, weighing in at 7 lbs. 11 oz., and 20 inches long. He is just too sweet! (For those of you who don't know, Sarah is Matt's sister and Vin is his brother-in-law.)

For Wayne, Shelly, and Hope
Just wanted you to know Sedona is fine and very relaxed...
For those who don't know, we are watching Sedona for Wayne, Shelly, and Hope this week. I walked into the bedroom the other morning and she was sleeping on her back around the fan, I thought it was quite funny.
